• Voters ask to vote on constitutional amendment to add "public transit" to fuel and road taxes
Senator Smitherman and Representative Hall have introduced bills that would ask voters to approve a constitutional amendment to add "public transit" to purposes for which fuel and road use taxes can be used. Those bills are: SB182 and HB353. More information can be looked up on the Alabama Legislative Information System Online (ALISON) website by clicking on "Bills", then "Status".
Baldwin PTC would like to thank these legislators for their bills, and also urge the public to contact our own legislators and urge them to vote "yes" on bills HB182 and SB353. Alabama Information System Online.
